Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is a Mexican American musician and popular actress. When she was a kid Sara was targeted for racial discrimination by American citizens of all races. When she was in 9th grade she started to feel more secure after being acknowledged by her teachers as a success for singing at a school's audition. The singer not only gained confidence through the audition however, she also re-evaluate her career goals. The 22-year-old earned an education from the Julliard School in New York. At the age of 23 she started her professional career, making her debut on Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films in You've got Mail. Her biggest breakthrough was when she played the character in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway performance of Spamalot winning not just her the Tony Award for her performance as well as a lot of critical praise. The recognition grew even more by appearing on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. Alongside being an acclaimed singer she has released two solo albums and a longer piece. She has also spoken out in support of LGBT concerns.
