Zoe-perry
Perry was born in Chicago with actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. She made her first appearances on the screen as Jackie Harris, a character played by her mother in Roseanne, an ABC show Roseanne. The actress was not permitted to start acting in front of her family until the age of adulthood because they were afraid of the strain it might cause. Perry admitted that she was too timid to perform at the age of 16, but she began performing in the theater at Northwestern University as a way to build relationships after her transfer to the university from Boston University. Perry following her graduation from Boston University, relocating to New York in search of the role on TV. The actress was offered small roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homelessness brought her back to California in search of theater jobs. Her mother and she starred on Broadway together with her in The Other Place, in 2013. Perry was in the show with her father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the year 2015 at The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry appeared in nine episodes of the ABC crime thriller The Family in 2016. Then in 2017, she appeared as a recurring role on The ABC film Scandal starring her father. That same year she portrayed a younger model of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) as her mother in a youthful version. She was cast in the role despite her close relationship with the character's family.
