Anna Leigh Ashford
Annaleigh Amanda Ashford (born April 14 1988) was an American actor, singer as well as a dancer. She started her Broadway career with musicals such as Wicked, Legally Blonde, as well as Hair. The role she played in You Can't Take It With You as Essie Carmahiel was rewarded with the Tony Award in Best Featured Female Actor in the Play. Annaleigh Ashford Tony Award winner actor has worked with many famous directors and actors on stage and screen. The award-winning actress continues her career by working on new projects. Ashford next will star opposite Kumail in Robert Siegel's Hulu-exclusive series Welcome to Chippendales which premieres on November 22nd. Ashford is engaged in the production of Searchlight Pictures' horror film Dust that stars Sarah Paulson alongside Ebon and Moss Bachrach. It's also available on Hulu Original on Disney DTC. Ashford's Broadway comeback will be on March 20, 2023. He is paired with Josh Groban for the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail (director) and Jeffrey Seller (producer), the same team who brought us Hamilton directed the show. Ashford's latest performance was Paula Jones on Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment. It is based upon the National scandal that featured Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky, as well as Linda Tripp. Two seasons ago, Ashford played a prominent role in CBS's hit comedy B Positive. It was produced by Chuck Lorre with Marco Pennette. It featured Linda lavin, Hector Elizondo, as well as Ben Vereen. Ashford is no stranger to Broadway.
